A friend of mine, who's in the ranking as Miami305, has Osu! and, well, I went to his house and played a bit (Though I think he set me up as a guest, I didn't remember my password offhand so I couldn't log in), either way, I had a great time, and the game is definitely an amazing Ouendan simulator. Some of the songs are super hard, but I found a couple I could play and get B/A ranks on, but then again most of the ones I wanted to play just happened to be pretty hard >_>

I'd try and make some beatmaps from his computer, but I don't know if he'd let me use it for that long >_>

I have a couple little suggestions though, you should allow users to skip the break sections, since some of them are quite long, and I found at least 2 or 3 songs where I was like "Come on, lemme play again!", and I think you should make it so that when a beatmap has break sections, you get the O or X markers when the previous section finishes, depending on if your lifebar is in the good or bad sections, and also, an option to turn that off in case people don't want it.

All in all, I played like 20 songs, and I had a great time, good work, Peppy, and everyone who's submitted beatmaps and worked on the game :)

Oh woot! You finally got to play :P.

Thanks for the feedback. I've also thought about adding a skip for break sections, but we'll have to see what people think about this feature. Also with the O X results for breaks - I have really wanted to add this in, but the only thing is that some people make 1 second breaks, or breaks that occur every few seconds. I guess there will need to be a minimum length before a section gets ranked?

I'd say throw 'em in, and if they don't want it. give 'em an option to turn it off.

Or maybe give beatmap creators the option to make it an evaluated break.

Either way, this sort of thing would be almost necessary once storyboarding comes in (what kind of simulator would it be without the hilarious X events?)

Actually, yeah, just have there be two kinds of breaks. Or a length requirement. Either would work.

And being able to skip long boring breaks would be nice.

The O and X can be part of the storyboarding and not the breaks themselves, but can only added to the end of breaks.

I was actually hoping to apply them to al the maps out there too.. based on the length and spacing of the breaks. But maybe for all maps after storyboarding is in, it will be user-placeable. We'll see :P.

Nah, leave that out. They're part of how the creator made the beatmap, and once storyboarding is in, the story in the middle of the song shouldn't be skippable.
