I think it's fair to say that the current map rating system (X/10) is not very accurate to how the map actually is. People (aka 'Players') become very biased on a map and typically, just rate the map baised off of the song choice/source/whatever BUT the actual gameplay.

Therefore, wouldn't it be cool for modders to be able to have a say in how they judge the quality of a map too?
Since, after all, how many active modders mod a map, then, once (if it gets) ranked, play through and give a fair rateing, months (maybe even years) after they modded it?

osu! is made up of 3 different game modes, so shoulnd't each mode have seprate ratings, and again with each difficult, because each is unique and has its own flaws and creativity, and also again, 3 different types of players. There are 'Modders', 'Mappers' and 'Players'. Shouldn't all have a fair chance at rating thourgh their own indivisual ways?

My idea is to have the ability to have a rating system buillt into the fourm for modders/ mappers to use when they make a mod post. This would then perhaps carry over to in-game as a seprate rating score? If not, atleast this score in the fourm would help the mapper with thier map. Because afterall, isn't it the modders duty to help the mapper improve thier map?

Anyway, I would love to hear other people's opinions about this~
