The inability to "scratch" on keyboard has been a confirmed issue for awhile and I don't see it being fixed anytime soon. So I wonder if anyone here has found any workaround to make it work.

Currently, the alternate keys only work if you fully release the other key before pressing each key.
There is a solution available, though it could technically be considered macroing (which is disallowed by the game rules). That same solution could be used to use more than 2 independent keys in osu!standard mode, and peppy explicitly has said that is not allowed in that context.

Can you tell me more about the macro if it doesn't put your account in danger? I just want to play the hitsounded BMS charts in this game.

play as guest (not logged in) and you should be fine
