Problem details:
So I searched the forum and can't really find a suitable way, and most of the time they say "Just open a new thread" - So here I am.

I am having a similar problem to many others:
I reset my PC, downloaded Osu!, set a few highscores and AFTER that I remembered that I forgot to import my old scores.db

So I tried to open scores.db, since you can merge databases - secured by password - okey, nvm.

So my questions are, is there a way today to get your scores back by either merging the Databases or any other way?

I read "redownload the maps", well I just imported these 1.5k Beatmaps from my old game, redownloading them would take a whole lot of time, so I would prefer am more convenient way, if possible!

Thanks for reading.

Your scores are not saved in the scores.db but in the hidden Data\r folder.
If you didn't copy them over, your local scores+replays are gone. The scores.db alone is worth almost nothing.

Refer to https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/639822 for all information around backing up your osu! files (I assumed your language based on the flag, if you don't understand german, just say so).

There's a limited degree to which you can get your local scores "back" and that is by selecting Global Ranking in the dropdown, click on your own play, press F2 to save it and then import it into osu! so it appears in your local scores. Unless you placed high enough on the scoreboard, the replay will be lost though and it is a very tedious process if done manually although probably feasible on your account (not on mine for sure).

Hey, yes I do speak german - but if anyone has the same problem as I do, I'll stay with english for better understanding.

I feel stupid now because I've only searched for English threads and not for german :D
Awesome guide you made there!

So I did backup my whole Osu! Folder before resetting my pc. Does that mean I only have to copy&paste my Data folder into the new installation und new and old scores will be there?
Or will the old scores overwrite the new one, if matching were found?`
That's the only thing I do not read in your guide.

Thanks for answering

Each score/replay has a unique name so there's no way you'd overwrite one of your new scores by adding the old ones.
Your score.db might not load the old scores before you select the map in question, you'd have to see about that, since I personally never tried to merge 2 folders/dbs.
Alternatively you can try to move out the score.db out of the osu! folder so that the score database is being rebuilt upon starting osu!. That should technically reread all your scores and if it goes wrong you still have your old score.db to put back in place.

Great!

Worked! Thanks you very much! :D

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a rhetorical question because this wasn't mentioned in the thread or if you are actually asking.

Replays in the top 1000 of a map's leaderboard are saved online. Wasn't really applicable to this thread though since all of your local replays are automatically saved and the OP had a backup of their osu! folder.
