Quality Checking Queue
(an experiment inspired by https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/932908)
Background: BN queues are reportedly being overloaded with requests, some of which have fundamental quality issues or simple mapping mistakes, which are easily identifiable even for non-BNs.
To BNs
When doing BN checks for new mappers, search the discussion page for [Quality Check]. I don't guarantee that anything is rankable quality but I hope to at least weed out the trivial stuff for you.
Feel free to mandate that new mappers requesting BN check must go through this queue first, that's kind of what the original thread was asking for.
Also BN req pls send help

Ground Rules
- This queue is only for those who have never ranked a map and never had a nomination on any of their maps, ever. If you have 1+ ranked maps or have a BN already willing to bubble one of your maps, this queue is not for you. You will not gain anything useful.
- Finished mapsets only, with at least 3 mods. Post only maps that you think are fit and ready for ranking.
- osu!standard only. I don't have experience mapping/modding other modes.
- Guest diffs will be skipped by default. I will assume that guest mappers know what they're doing.
Quality Checks
- Instead of standard mods (NM), this queue delivers "Quality Checks" (QC). Requesting NM will get you ignored.
- No specific request format, just post the link and be mindful of the rules.
- QCs check for "basic mapping mistakes" arising directly from lack of mapping experience such as wrong BPM/awkward snapping, bad diff spread, messy patterns etc.
- An overall review can be found in the General (All difficulties) section of the discussion page.
- If there are no big issues and you need hype, I'll do it if I can.
- If there are major issues, I'll list them out and try to explain them as best as I can.
Disclaimers
- Time spent on each QC is going to be very short. If there are fewer requests, I might spend more time, but don't expect a high effort mod if the queue is flooded.
- A QC is NOT guaranteed to be exhaustive. I'm not qualified to pick out every single unrankable issue in the map.
- Following from the above, passing the QC does not guarantee a nomination. My bar is very low to avoid subjective false positives. BN standards will be much higher than mine.
