While it's rare for songs to use odd snaps such as 1/5 and 1/7, there are cases for this and a workaround is a much bigger effort than it should be.
The most recent case I've seen for this is this map. Having this feature would prevent things like having objects intentionally unsnapped to follow the song; or in this map where the mapper needs to artificially change bpm so that objects can be properly snapped to the timeline.
Because this is a rare case, the option to hold shift or ctrl while changing the beat snap divisor could be needed for mappers to access this.
