What is this weird looking bars and colors? This is a test on our malaysia most famous internet service... (every single Malaysian knows who)
This is a test where the user type an address (for example: facebook.com) and the server gives back the IP address where the name is...
What does the bar color means?Thick red bar: What is facebook.com response rate
Thin green bar: What is *insert random character here*.facebook.com response rate
Thin purple bar: What is .com (or .(the root name))
The red on the IP address side is the number of replies went unanswered... (will show as Server Not Found (HTTP 404) on browsers).
It will reach full within 50 no replies.
Those dots and rings? The green ring around the filled dot is advanced protection for home network (no other servers have this except this home-made one with the exception of OpenDNS with blue ring around it...)
Those I use are those filled dots...
Who are the owner?IP address 1.9.1.9, 202.188.0.132, 202.188.0.133, 202.188.1.5 are the TM ones ad these are the usual servers used by
some Streamyx and all UniFi customers get...
127.0.0.1 is my home-made DNS server system
The other one... self explainatory
Each gray dashed lines is 20 ms where black one is 100 ms.
Holy sh*t!!! All are slow (or really unreliable) Is this happening all the time or just at certain periods?Generally this starts at 10 am and ends at around 3 am.... but its really unuseable at evening... I generally have 3 timeouts every 16 websites I visit (proud 384k Streamyx user here
)...
Which is more important?Generally response time is not really important (its less than a second seriously), but a non filled bar on the IP address side means it replies all requests this program sends. Unless if you want a insta pop websites, get a faster server (or make your own
) If you want to make your own, shoot me a PM for the solution...
Other questions?Ask here or shoot a PM or in-game chat to me....
