I've got more than two hundred red, green and blue dots appearing and dissapearing on the screen when I use my laptop (it's not the monitor). A few weeks ago there were not many dots on the screen, and since I've been using my laptop, more and more dots have been appearing on the screen. My laptop is still usable, but when I move windows around or scroll a window, it draws a coloured trail on the window that was moving, then once the window is minimized and brought back on the screen again the coloured trail that was drawn on the window dissapears.

Does this sound like my GFX card could be on it's way out, or is there something I can do to resolve this issue? I have got a Dell XPS M1210 laptop with a NVidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics card. Does the the Dell XPS M1210 laptop have another graphics card that's built into the motherboard that I could use, instead of the NVidia one?

Thanks. :)

It appears you may have a case of bath salts. This should probably be in the technical support support section so that people can study the phenomenon better.

Other than that update your drivers.

It appears to be an overheating issue. I have placed a cooling pad underneath my laptop to reduce the temperature of my laptop and it seems to have helped.

Thanks. :)
