All team members must join the Discord server. If you signed up in the registration form but are not in the server, you cannot participate.

Team Requirements

  1. This is a 2v2 osu!Standard tournament using ScoreV2. 2 players min, 3 players max per team. This tournament is open to players from any country.
  2. In order for your team to be accepted into the tournament, we will calculate your team's performance index, defined the sum of the squares of the BWS-weighted PP values of your team's two highest-weighted-pp players. (For example, if your team's PP values are {2000,3000,4000} and no one on your team has a badge, your performance index is 3000^2 + 4000^2 = 25,000,000.)
    1. For BWS, will we be using BWS pp = (pp - 15825) * .9937^(#badges^2) + 15825. See this sheet for sample pp values given different numbers of badges using this formula, as well as a derivation of the formula
  3. Your team's performance index must be between 21,250,000 and 65,000,000, inclusive, by the end of registration. (We reserve the right to extend but not shrink this range.)
  4. This tournament will accept all valid teams that sign up, where valid teams have a performance index within the above range AND no team member has violated significant osu! rules in the past year
  5. Staff members, apart from commentators, may not be on teams

Match Format

  1. This tournament consists of two stages: the Qualifiers Stage and the Bracket Stage. The Qualifiers Stage will determine the top 32 teams to then play in the Bracket Stage, while the Bracket Stage is double-elimination.
  2. During Qualifiers, teams will play the qualifiers mappool through once in a predetermined order. The sum of a team’s ranks on each map will be the team’s rank in qualifiers, and the 32 teams with the lowest team rank will qualify for Bracket Stage
  3. Bracket Stage matches using the RO32 and RO16 mappools will be BO7 (first to 4), using QF will be BO9, SF BO11 and Finals BO13.
  4. All matches will be played Team Vs., Score v2
  5. At the start of each match, each team will roll. The team with the higher roll bans second and picks first. The winner of a map wins one point. Teams then alternate picks until one team garners enough points for victory. Banned maps may not be picked.
  6. When a team garners the necessary number of points to win their match (e.g. 4 points in BO7), and is at least two points ahead of the losing team, the losing team is allowed a chance at redemption by playing one of the 3 "Redemption Maps." In order for redemption to succeed, the losing team must achieve 1.2 million points (score v2), and neither player may fail the map (this is enforced by putting the two team members on different teams with Team Vs).
  7. If redemption fails, the match concludes with the winning team victorious.
  8. If redemption succeeds, the winning team's most recent point is voided, and the match continues (regarding picks - if it’s A vs. B, and team A picked the map that triggered redemption, then team B picks after the redemption). However, the losing team may no longer attempt redemption. For instance, if the winning team proceeds to win the next map, the match concludes with the winning team victorious.
  9. There will be no warmups during the Qualifiers Stage. During the Bracket Stage, the team with the lower roll picks the first warmup map, and the higher roll picks the second, not to exceed five (5) minutes in total length.
  10. Mappools will be released approximately one week in advance
  11. Qualifiers will be 3NM/2HD/2HR/2DT. RO32 and RO16 will be 5NM/2HD/2HR/2DT/3FM, Quarterfinals will be 5NM/3HD/3HR/3DT/3FM, and Semifinals and Finals will be 6NM/3HD/3HR/3DT/3FM
  12. In all Bracket stage matches, there will always be one (1) tiebreaker map, and three (3) redemption maps.
  13. At least one mod per team must be used during free-mod (FM) maps. Mods may be chosen from EZ, HD, HR, and FL. EZ scores are doubled.
  14. Mods may be used during tiebreaker and redemption maps, though they are not required.
  15. Disconnections will only be honored once per team, and only if they happen in the first 30 seconds of a map. If a disconnection is honored, the map will be replayed with no penalty.
  16. A team fail results in a point for the other team.
  17. If a situation occurs that is not covered by the rules above, the referee will have the final say.
