6K Beginner Maps?

When I started playing mania, I played 4K for a while before wanting to branch out, so I started 6K.
Should I stick with 6K, go down to 5K, or back to 4K? Does it matter? The reason I decided to skip 5K was because the odd number of buttons felt awkward, and 6K seemed easier.

In order to play high keycounts, there is no need to go from lower keycounts to higher keycounts. Actually, it makes more sense to start with higher keycounts, and then go down. Muscle memory transfers better from higher keycounts to lower keycounts, than the other way around.
