About This Team:
As I have noticed the poor quality and lack of mods Taiko maps have been getting these days, I have brought it upon myself to assemble a group of people in aims to provide detailed and helpful mods for taiko maps. I would also like to try and form a basic understanding of how the Taiko modding process should be approached. I'd like to mention that this is not an official team (Like the BAT/MAT); instead, this is going to be an organized group of skilled Taiko modders striving to improve quality of maps. The members of this team will be decided upon by all members of the team so that there will be no biased additions. (Further details on applying in below sections)
Joining the Team:
How do I apply for the team?: The first thing you need to do is to send me a personal message explaining why you think you have what it takes to be part of the team, examples of your mods, and how you approach modding a Taiko map. Myself and other members will read over the application. Once the team has reached an agreement, you will be informed of the status of your application.
- Take note we are looking at how you MOD, not how you MAP.What we look for in applicants:
When looking for applicants, we want to see many things from your mods.
1 - Details, Details, Details.
When you mod, you should be explaining your suggestions/changes to the mapper so that they understand WHY you are pointing out what needs to be changed. If your mods are simply "change to k, I think it sounds better" (and along those lines), you will most likely be ignored. We want you to explain to the mapper why things need to be changed so that they understand why you are suggesting them in the first place. When you aren't justifying your mods, you are simply telling the mapper what to do instead of being helpful ("I think it sounds better" is NOT a reason). A more reasonable explanation would be along the lines of "I suggest you make this note a k, BECAUSE it matches to -beat/instrument here-" and any other reasoning you may have for it.
2 - The ability the create solutions.
A more common practice in taiko modding is suggesting a new form to a current pattern for various reasons; for example, a certain pattern being overmapped, undermapped, or unfitting.
We would like to see that you have the ability to create multiple solutions to some of these problems. The reason I say multiple is so that you give the mapper the freedom of choice, instead of being stuck with just one pattern. Most of the time there is more than one way you can fix things.
3 - Dedication.
We are looking for dedicated applicants. We would like to see you are consistently modding at least once a week. Unless you have a good reason (For example: schoolwork, vacations, and emergencies), you may be removed from the team.
Queue Rules:
-TAIKO SETS ONLY. We are not dealing with guest difficulties at the time as we are trying to get more taiko sets ranked.
Blacklist:
What is the blacklist?: The blacklist is a list of players banned from posting their maps in our queue.
How can I get blacklisted?: You can become black listed for any of the following;
-Breaking the rules multiple times. (The 3 strike rule applies)
-Disrespecting our modders. (The 3 strike rule applies)
-Being banned. Will remove you from our queue, but if you happen to be unbanned you are free to repost your map.
