Team Selection Rules
Round of 32 - Semi Finals
- Players will be seeded based on their BWS ranking and divided into 2 pools: Upper seed or Lower seed
- Teams will be selected via randomisation, as such that each team will consist of two members from each pool
- After matches are played for that round, all teams will be dissolved, and players remaining in the tournament will be returned to their appropriate seeding pool.
- Teams will then be reselected for the next round, and this cycle will reoccur until Semi Finals
Semi & Grand Finals
- Teams selected for the semi finals will occur with the same system as before, however, after semi final matches are completed teams will stay the same for grand finals.
- Winners finals will compete for 1st and 2nd place, while losers finals will compete for 3rd place.
Match Rules
- Players will be invited their lobbies 10 minutes prior to commencement of the match. Teams will have a 5 minute grace period after the allotted match time to enter join the lobby before the match starts.
- If a team is unable to field a playable team, the match will be forfeited. A playable team is defined as:
At least 1 Upper Seed and at least 1 Lower Seed, or, 2 Lower Seeds. - If only the 2 Upper Seed players are able to play the match, the match will be forfeited.
- Matches will be played as 2v2s.
- Once lobby is full, captains will roll for highest number and will have one of two options as a result:
Pick 1st and Ban 2nd, or, Ban 1st and Pick 2nd. - In the event a teams captain is unable to roll, the highest BWS ranked team member will roll instead.
- After selections are made, teams may opt to select one warm-up map (no longer than 4:00)
- Teams will have 2 minutes to select a map, and if no selection is made they will forfeit their map selection, and the next pick will be chosen by the other team. If this should occur, after the team has chosen their forfeit pick and it is played, the pick will then go back to the original team.
- After map selection, teams will have 90 seconds to determine who will play and enter the lobby accordingly.
- Teams must have one player from each seed pool in the lobby for each map pick. As such, matches should be played by 1 Upper Seed and 1 Lower Seed per team, or 2 Lower Seeds.
- If all players aren't readied up within this period, the referee will start a 15 second timer, and players in the lobby at the time will play the map.
- Teams may not pick a map from the same modpool of their previous selection, with the exception of Nomod.
- Freemod maps must be played with at least 1 member per team having at least 1 mod selected as either HD, HR or EZ. Players may have any combination of these mods as they like, however, scores will not be doubled for EZ scores.
- Failed scores will count, and highest scoring team will win the point.
- In the event of a disconnect, a replay of the map is up to the discretion of the referee.
- If the disconnect occurs in the first 15 seconds of the map, it will be replayed
- If the result of the outcome is too close to call the referee may choose to replay the map.
- If the disconnect occurs at a point where the outcome is determinable, the referee may determine the outcome at their discretion.
