As you can see there, on the Design editor we always saw grids just like on Compose editor, and the grids on the Compose editor snaps the notes placement onto them but on Design editor it doesn't do the same thing to the sprites.
And also, you can also see that the grids on the Design editor doesn't completely fill up the whole active playfield (640x480) and it only covers the center from the playfield (it doesn't reached the borders).
Actually why do Design editor needs grid snap? It is important actually, especially if example:

You want to create a moving lyrics and you want all the movements of the lyrics at the same speed, and the lyrics spawned from different locations on the playfield.
To estimate if the distance is correct for each lyric sprites just by looking on the playfield doesn't really help. Sometimes it could go faster, slower, or too far. You know what do I mean here, right? And a grid snap feature would surely helpful here. Just conclude by yourself and see the efficiency from this grid snap feature.
