I had no idea what to put in the title.

Anyway; my idea is to time songs using two nodes, which you can set in spots on a map using a "place node" button. Then, you enter the number of bars you can hear between those two nodes, and it'll time the map for you. You can also set two more nodes, make them "independent" of the other nodes using an "Independent Nodes" option, then time another section.

If you needed to adjust the nodes, you could select them from the Timing panel (F3), and hit either "Nudge Node +" or "Nudge Node -". It'll adjust the BPM for you.

I think that would be real convenient, seeing as you just take a start and end section, enter the number of bars between the two sections, and voila!

Not really, you won't be able to get, for example, 140.57 beats per minute even if the song has it. So tapping and testmode is still the best way to get your timing right, there's no need to make it harder or more difficult.

This would actually be pretty useful when timing those stupid irregular slowdowns at the end of some songs

Why not? Just nudge the nodes until you get it precise.

This could ease adjusting sections that change, slow down or speed up e.t.c, but timing a map like that rather then how it is now feels like a bit of a hassle. A timeline with all the ticks with the ticks being adjustable could be a bit useful, or rather, convenient as it would make a few things easier then they are now.

I like it. Much beneficial for multi BPM songs.
