I know that there are ppl with VERY slow internet, just like me I have 64kBit/s and that is awesome shit and I dont really like opening a map and then DL it without video It takes >1min. to open the mapsite, and that is annoying...

I'm surprised that there is still people using slow (meaning less than 3MB) internet connections.

well DSL is not everywhere so fast, I am supposed to get DSL1000 here, coz there is no more...

they should raise the quality of normal DSL before coming with VDSL really.

Even with internet that slow, loading the beatmap info page should be pretty zippy (the osu! site is highly optimised). I will not be adding this link in that location, sorry.

What about making the download button something the user can choose to be video or no video in the settings?
