I've finally cleared every single movie with a good end at least. Missing 5-7 strange ends. Honestly, the final reward was pretty meh; the secret room was empty the first time I went in, and the statue is like an oversized awards trophy. I was expecting a statue of my character :/
Or better yet, allowing changing the player sprites into costumes while normally playing would be the best thing ever. I like Rosa's princess and scientist models, and imagine the Champion fight with her princess costume
In other news, I learned about Stored Power today. Best move of the year all years. yes I only play against CPU, I know there are quite a few easy counters like Haze, etc

Got myself a rom of White 2 with Challenge Mode key with it. I'm thinking of playing this game with the Nuzlocke Challenge for the first time.
You should really try Nuzlocke on normal first imo. You don't know how much more different it is until you truly try it. It's slightly easier in Gen 5 though, thanks to Audino grinding, but when I tried White Nuzlocke I only grinded before gyms and that meant half my party got wiped by a random Simipour after Skyla in White.
Maybe I should, but I've already started it. I'll probably be super grinding most of the time (thanks to pokebreeders and Audino) and hopefully, I won't lose anybody.

EDIT: Can't believe I caught an Azurill with Thick Fat ._.;;;;; If I decide to use potions for this game, I guess I could use this pokemon to tank the damage while healing my teams up.

Playing Pokemon Conquest right now.
I don't know if the real Nobunaga's Ambition games are like this, but some mechanics are really shitty. One I can think of is how each Pokemon has only 1 move, and while evolving them gives stronger moves, sometimes it's worse off due to which squares each move hits.
For example, Rhydon has a 4 square Bulldoze, and Rhyhorn has a 1 square Drill Run. Rhyperior has Rock Wrecker which does a crapton of damage, but aiming it is near impossible due to how specific the hit square is, and you can't use it consecutively like in the real games

Going on with the 1-unchangable-move thing, I was training a bunch of Scraggies which had Faint Attack to take down a Ghost warlord, and then one of them evolved into a Hi-Jump Kick Scrafty.
That said, I heard there are a lot of post-game storylines with hours of gameplay, so I'll just play on for now. Even if it means spending hours to level my Eevee to make it evolve into Glaceon. I'm basically at the last castle now in the main storyline and I could probably roflstomp it, but I want a Glaceon so I can do massive damage and make the fight cooler.

Also, post-game Conquest is pretty good. It plays more like a race against the others instead of grind2win. Currently my mission is to conquer all 18 areas again, and 20 or so turns later there are only 4 warlords left. 2 are derping around with 500 strength in total and out of my reach, I have the most land and 12 decent warriors at 200-250 strength each, and the last guy has slightly less land but 2 crazy powerful warriors at near 400 strength that stomp almost everything. Took me a team of 6 to win them in a fight. Challenging for now, but to be completely honest I have no idea as to how to beat him.
I'm going to play with potions for this game. It's admittingly a cheap move, but I should just take it easy and see how it is like.
Sorry, still trying to fill my own. I'm currently trying to get Hoenn Pokémon (which will be a massive pain since transferring is limited to six a day) ._.
I haven't touched Pokémon Black 2 in almost a month or so. I can't accept myself as a real person.

Thank you very much. Meh, my problem is that they did't make better the graphics in the combat system. To make things worse again I got stuck at the place where the 2nd badge is.
It's like this:
- Enter a 2v2 battle.
- Your first Pokémon faints by an attack of enemy A.
- Your second Pokémon faints by an attack from enemy B.
- You're not able to switch in between.
- You're unable to replace 2 Pokémon at the same time.
- Congratulations, this would be a Game Over in other games. You have to restart from the last point you saved.

You can replace two Pokémon at once. I thought that I was done for & had to restart but you have to read carefully at what the dialog is saying. You can replace 2 Pokémon at once, it's just what Ekaru says. The dialog will ask who you want to go in, then it will ask who you want to switch it out for (which is supposed to be a fainted Pokémon). It will then ask you to do the same for the second Pokémon & that's pretty much it.
Yeah, that confused me a lot when I played BW1, I just started tapping randomly then it worked and I was like "oh, but that's so friggin unintuitive", considering position doesn't matter in a double battle.

My interest in pokemon has been rekindled due to finding people who play it IRL, and I need to basically catch up. The only pokemon game in my possession at the moment is my copy of Emerald, which has a dead clock battery. So basically, I wonder if I should get a copy of HG/SS and transfer over and play through Johto(which I never did play through,) or just jump into the ever so popular B2/W2.

If the people you know who play it IRL are playing 5th gen games then go with B2/W2 first, and pick up a 4th gen game - either Platinum or HGSS - for more catchable Pokemon.WhoAteFred wrote:

After all, if you're playing it due to people you know playing it then you want to be able to trade and battle with them and stuff.
The people I know still have copies of 4th gen games, and they'd be happy to trade with me. As for battling, I do have to say multiplayer battling is not exactly the top of my priorities. I have heard BW series is great though.
Personally I don't think it really matters though if I hadn't played pokemon in awhile I'd go to BW first since I'd be better used to the battle and in-game mechanics of Gen 5. Though HG/SS (4th) is really cool as well if you have no idea what to go about in 5th Gen. But meh. HGSS had the harder games imo. (Besides the fact I am a hardcore Ledyba user) Overall I suggest BW games to start off with since 4th is basically over in terms of playing with friends.

Okay, then I suggest Platinum and then later get BW2. Platinum is a lot more user-friendly than HGSS, among other things. HGSS has nostalgia and a better UI going for it, but that's about it. Its level distribution is arse so it switches between being easy and pretty hard... unless you spend a lot of time grinding. Which takes forever because there's no easy way to level. Whereas Platinum has a great level curve and the VS Seeker so that's never an issue.WhoAteFred wrote:

Unless you like preparing to fight level 40s by grinding on level 24s, I really don't recommend HGSS for your first gen 4/5 game.
To be honest, I have to side with Ekaru. Please, play Platinum because yes, playing with HGSS can probably drive your mentality straight to the ground; normally after fighting with the Elite Four, everything gets too hard for your liking, calling for harder grinding which isn't so fun. I honestly had to skip that for DS & play it on an emulator because I couldn't handle all that the game offered.
I don't know why they didn't redo the level curve for HGSS. I'm a hardcore gen2 nostalgiafag and it wouldn't have bothered me.

Actually, that is what I ultimately decided. I'll get both hg /ss and b/w. Indeed the simplest answer prevails.
