I'm sick and tired of these +1's and support's. They're not making any difference unless they actually give you feedback. If you haven't got anything to say about the feature request, stay away from it.

Stop clogging the threads with useless posts.

It supports the feature by bumping the thread. Sometimes people don't have any changes they want to the idea but want to express their support personally, votes or no votes. It's not that big of a problem to allow it.

Does indicate that its a popular request and something that more then one person wants. You got a limited amount of votes, you know.

Its not that big of a mess for you to have obligations to complain.

Most of these are posted on feature requests which have already been assigned. There's no point of having more posts if it's already planned.

Popularity doesn't show if the feature request is good or not. If anything, let us have more stars to star feature requests so they can become more popular that way.

Here's a perfect example of how useless posts clog up a thread t/80862 and doesn't increase the chances of getting it implemented. (most posts were posted as an request by the guy who made it)

Here's an idea, how about making posts with less text less visible and vice versa? nah.. yknow what. Let's just forget it.
