I know all other posts have been rejected, but I actually get triggered when I begin a map and get distracted because of it. I don't want to think about how many times I've failed a map I just want to focus on the part that I messed up on.
Maybe just a toggle off and on retry counter for players like me, I'm sure some people would appreciate this.

You can hide the interface (Mayus+tab) for that although that will hide everything non-gameplay relevant as well.

Use Shift+Tab as mentioned above. Also, read the guidelines of this forum next time.
