Rantai
I scanned Lybydose last night, he is town.
Lybydose
Maybe with the leader dead, the cult can't recruit? Then we could just sit around and no-lynch until rantai finds the last person.

I'm guessing akrolsmir could only recruit every other night. So, LS on d1, nobody d2, ?? on d3, then nobody last night.

If I had to guess, I'd say Mashley, since I doubt jinx would keep vig powers if recruited, plus the investigation hit him that night anyway.
akrolsmir

/bah
Jinxy
Well, I think it might be Mashley too, since Rantai was the one who revealed LS, and then he confirmed lyby, and I also vigged the cult leader.

Mash has motivated Nyquill/Rantai N2, which means he won't be confirmed if your theory about recruiting is true.

But this does bring the question of why would akrol pick a powerless townie... unless he could only recruit those...
Jinxy
If we assume akrol could recruit every night but only on townies who have used their shot:
N1: LS said he was going to use his powers, so akrolsmir took the chance to recruit him.
N2: Because Kanye lied about him using his ability, akrolsmir might have aimed for him but failed.
N3: Mashley claimed he motivated Nyquill and was confirmed, so akrolsmir recruited him.
N4: I killed akrolsmir.
Rantai
Mmm going by what my 'limited' was I'm going to agree with a cult that could only recruit once every 2 nights (ie N1/3).

I'm fairly convinced that Lybydose is town, due to his alignment matching up on both LS's and my ability. My only concern at this point is that Jinxy could be a godfather mafia (1 shot?) or something along that line. Call me skeptical but I find a game without mafia in it a bit fishy (especially with a dumbed down cult).

Bit of a stretch though, considering the size of the game. But something does feel off.
Jinxy
Do remember there was an SK too; we just lynched him D1. If there was maf, SK AND a cult, even if it's limited, it's would have been way too anti-town sided.

Alternatively, we could follow lyby's idea and give you one more night to check mash.
Rantai
Yeah that's true, I'll scan him tonight to confirm.
Jinxy
Alright then.

Vote: No Lynch
Lybydose
Actually, it might be safer to just lynch. If cult leader transfers, we have to lynch correctly today or lose. If it doesn't transfer, we still get another lynch tomorrow, even on a mislynch.
Jinxy
Oh, ok then

Vote: Mashley
Mashley
Wait what the hell. All three of you guys have fairly solid confirmation and I'm not cult you dumb fucks, so obviously something has changed. I think Lybydose, as the last living cult member, got some sort of investigation immunity making him appear as Town to Rantai. That's why he's against no lynch so strongly; he knows he'll lose if we no-lynch tonight (or just lynch him today of course). There is no way the cult leader transfers, that's OP as hell.
Vote Lybydose
I dunno, if you guys feel it's necessary you can no-lynch tonight to check me, but from my point of view I have 100% confidence that Lybydose is cult.
Lybydose
So you're saying that the last cult member gets godfather immunity, and using that as logic for why we should no-lynch and investigate you? That doesn't even begin to make sense.
Rantai
If we're going to lynch I think I'd prefer to lynch Jinxy solely based on the godfather (mafia) possibility. Somehow I really doubt a transferring leadership or a cult investigation immunity.
Mashley
You think he suddenly became mafia at N4 or something?

Lybydose wrote:

Only realistic possibility I could think of, it's a stretch for sure but I can't find another solution, since the three of you have some form of confirm and ofc I know I'm not cult.
Rantai
The guess is he withheld his shot (something like a limited mafia)
Jinxy
Well, like I've said, I don't believe there can be 3 anti-town factions in a 9-P game, especially when one was a unlimited SK and another was Cult. If town mislynched D1 and your assumed mafia shot N1, the ratio of town to anti-town at D2 would be 2:4; 2 NKs, and one conversion. If he didn't shoot, it would be 3:4, and that would still be the most unbalanced game ever.

Having a last cult adds up better than a mafia since both you and lyby have agreed that a odd-night cult leader was the most likely.
Jinxy
Without mafia, a mislynch on D1 would bring the ratio to 4:3 on D2.

...Actually that's still kind of bad, but at least it's not under 50%
Mashley
Other possibility is Cult becomes a mafia once the leader is killed, or something along those lines.
Also holy shit do we have like a few hours left? Because if we do JInxy you need to move your vote onto something that's not going to make us lose the game.
Jinxy
No, thank you, I am perfectly fine with the vote that is going to make us win

Everyone except you has been confirmed more or less. All you did was to motivate the cop, who's to say you didn't get culted after that? Unless you have a better argument that's not "I know I'm not cult", I'm staying with this.
Jinxy
Mod: Time left?
Lybydose
Vote: Mashley

I'm actually kinda more suspicious of Rantai tbh
Lybydose
Vote: no lynch

I just realized that the last cult recruitment had to have been last night. Otherwise, it would have been 3v3 yesyerday. Meaning, jinx could possibly be cult too. If we let Rantai investigite one other, we can guarantee a win, unless the cult becomes mafia. Then it's still 50% tomorrow if they kill me.

Face to face were two gigantic robots, Knightmare Frames.
One was a brilliant white with golden accents.
The other was black and had some sort of cannon mounted in its center.

"Suzuku! Why did you betray us - betray Japan?" the pilot of the black robot shouted.
"Lelouch, my goal is to change Britannia from the inside! It's something you'll never understand!" the one in the white robot replied.
Both readied their weapons - about to fight each other.

"C.C. charge the... C.C.? How did she..."
The world suddenly shifted.

"Lelouch? What are you doing daydreaming in class like that?"
The scene was reverted to that of a classroom.
"I could have swore... Never mind then..." The events never happened.

Inside an abandoned warehouse, two people were busy putting a machine together.
"Kurisu, the microwave must be directly above the CRT--"
"Yes, yes, I know. The helmet is ready as well?"

The machine set up, they went over the plan again.
"Rintarou, I'll use the machine and send my memories back in time first."
"And I'll follow suit, whether or not the world line shifts."

Kurisu donned the device and turned on the microwave. Time set, 48 hours ago.
An electrical discharge covered the entire warehouse interior.
Rintarou felt dizzy yet again as the world changed once more.

He saw Kurisu in front of him.
"It's my turn I guess."

IT'S NOW DAY 6.
WITH 3 ALIVE, IT TAKES 2 TO HAMMER.
Rantai
Right, so I checked Jinxy again last night. He came up as not town.
Lybydose
Hi
Jinxy
What, I'm not cult

Well in that case, this means

Why couldn't Rantai be the one recruited that night? He could have still gotten his report or instead fake a town report and get to lylo.

But before that, I want to know what your role is and what you have been doing so far, lybydose. It's lylo so any information might still help.
Lybydose
He could, which means you two will cross vote and then I basically have a 50% chance of winning, since I don't really have much of anything to work off of.

Or we could no lynch every day. What happens if we have a powerless cultist and two townies oting no lynch every day? Does the cult even win if it's 1 vanilla cultist vs 1 townie? Or is it a draw?
Jinxy
Rantai
Hitter would probably mod-kill us all and say mod wins xD
Jinxy
You know, what if we no lynch and ask Rantai to check himself? You know, in case something after LS's death triggered a sanity flip.

If he shows himself as town, I'm still going to vote him because I'm not cult and thus he's lying

But if he shows anti-town, then lyby might have been the last cult and was planning to hammer a cult win while we crossvote.
Lybydose
that doesn't make any sense

because if Rantai is the cultist, he's just going to say "oh yeah I'm anti-town" to direct the vote at me
Lybydose
basically if we wait a day and have rantai self check, it causes one of the following:

if he sees himself as town, the crossvote will be rantai vs. jinxy, and whichever of you is town will be 100% certain the other is cult
if he sees himself as anti-town, the crossvote will be rantai vs. lybydose, and since I'm town, I'll be 100% certain Rantai is the cultist

either way, the vote will be decided by someone who can't be 100% sure
Rantai
I'd be fine with doing that but ultimately it'll still come down to taking my word for my results. Which basically means the exact same situation as right now.

Actually, is it even possible for a cop to check themselves in general?
Lybydose
alright. I figure jinxyjem is more likely to be the cultist. Rantai revealed a guilty result on him. Rather than following the obvious path of concluding that Rantai is a lying cultist, jinx tries to deflect it to me for some reason. Possibly because he knows we're both town and that I'm the more "unconfirmed" of the two.

I also believe that akrolsmir would be more likely to recruit a vigilante over a cop. One, because he may have thought that recruiting would "override" the vig kill and save himself. Two, even if it didn't stop the kill, a vig killing a cult leader would appear more town than a cop with a guilty result on a cultist.

I also have a crazy theory that akrolsmir could only succeed at a recruitment if he recruited someone the same night that person used a 1-shot ability.

I'm going to be second guessing myself no matter what I do, so might as well just throw up a vote already. And "everyone but pieguy wins" as a result of repeated no lynching is a kind of lame way to end a game.

soooo vote: jinxyjem
Rantai

But saying Rantai was lying was the first thing I said in the day, I just appended the possibility of flipped sanity because

The boy reached into a plastic bag and pulled out a black notebook.
The words "Death Note" were written on the cover.

From the cockpit of his vanship, Claus Valca saw the final person get executed.
Sadly, it wasn't the person he was looking for.
In fact, he had guessed wrongly, who was against him...

A figure approached him. He recalled seeing that person as a kid.
Somehow though, the person grown older. A nineteen? year old was now right before him.
Claus quickly ignited the engine of his vanship, and lifted off.

As he was doing so, he felt a small prick from the side of his neck.
A sudden urge to sleep was...

Kurisu and Rintarou were finally ready.
In front of them was a machine able to send a memory back more than two weeks into the past.
They worked tirelessly, repeating the same 48 hours until they were able to create the machine.

They used their previous experience from each of the times they rewinded to shorten the building process.
Now, the machine was up and running.
They could prevent this fiasco from happening.

"I can't let you do that - your plan." a tall teenager approached them.
"It wasn't my choice to be recruited, but now, I have to follow what the leader wants."
Kurisu and Rintarou looked at each other. They had to activate the device quickly.

The hurriedly dialed up the settings and wore the headgear.
The teenager hurriedly brought out a soccer ball and kicked it at the machine.
A strong light enveloped the area. The teenager was alone...

Roles:
akrolsmir
You are Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica - a Limited Cult Leader.

In your world, you could recruit females and turn them into “magical girls”.
You did this in order to save the entropy of the uni-- Actually let’s cut the long explanation.
Well, in this world, gender doesn’t quite matter anymore, so you can recruit anyone.
Now to get back to your world, you need to win.

During Night, you may choose to recruit a player and form a cult.
They will keep their previous ability if they have one.
You may not recruit another player as long as there are already two people in the cult.

You win when your faction controls half the votes.
pieguy1372
You are Emiya Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero - a Serial Killer with One-Shot Roleblock.

You used to be quite the killer in your world. “Mage Killer” was what they called you.
Instead of relying purely on magic though, you used anything that was effective.
Now, you have to kill every single one in this world to get back to yours.
You even brought your Mystic Code - a gun that can disable others’ abilities.

During Night, you may choose to kill one person.
You may also choose to roleblock a player.
Once you do so, you lose your roleblock.

You win when your faction controls half the votes.
Nyquil / Rantai

You used to be a famous teenage detective before you got turned into a kid.
Now, you’re trapped in this world, and need to win in order to get out.
Your intellect and reasoning though, are still intact.
Although your physical limitations may hamper your investigations...

During Night, you may choose to investigate one person.
If you do so, you may not investigate the following night.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.
LunaticMara
You are Koyomi Araragi from Bakemonogatari - a Town One-Shot Bulletproof.

Even though you’re in this world now, you still have your powers.
You used to be a vampire, but now reverted back to a human.
Nevertheless, you still have the regeneration ability of a vampire.
Now, in order to get back to your own world, you must use your powers and win.

During Night, if you are killed, it will fail instead.
Once this ability is used, you lose it.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.
LadySuburu
You are Ushiromiya Battler from Umineko no Naku Koro ni - a Town One-Shot Truth Detector.

Your constant battles with a “witch” in your world enabled you to distinguish the truth from lies.
In this world, you may use that power once only though.
Now, you need to win to get back to your own world.

During Night, you may select one phrase made in the thread.
You will learn whether it is true or not.
Once you do so, you lose your ability.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.
Mashley
You are C.C. from Code Geass - a Town One-Shot Permanent Motivator .

The ability to give someone a power - a Geass.
This was how it was in your own world.
Now, that same ability can be used to permanently upgrade someone else’s ability.
You must win in order to get back to your own world.

During Night, you may choose to use your powers on a player.
That player’s abilities will be permanently motivated for the rest of the game.
Once you do so, you lose your ability.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.
JInxyjem
You are Yagami Light from Death Note - a Town One-Shot Vigilante .

The ability to kill someone by just knowing their name and face and writing it down.
In your world, you attempted to kill of all evils.

During Night, you may kill a player.
Once you do so, you lose your ability.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.
Jayel / Kanye West
You are Kamijou Touma from To Aru Majutsu no Index - a Town One-Shot Rolestopper .

A right hand that could negate anything - that was the power in your own world.
The same can be done here, and you must use it in order to win.
For when you win, you may return back to your own world.

During Night, you may target a player.
All actions targeting the player will be negated.
Once you do so, you lose your ability.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.
thebestthingever / Lybydose
You are Claus Valca from Last Exile - a Town Commuter .

A famous maneuver on your ship enabling you to dodge anything - something that you mastered.
Now, you must use that skill in order to ensure your victory in this world.
So that you may return back to your own world.

During Night, you may choose to use your ability.
You will be immune from all actions that target you.
You may only do this every other Night.

You win when all threats to your faction have disappeared.

SPOILER
Kurisu and Rintarou both woke up in each others arms.
They looked at their surroundings and saw a ruined Tokyo.
It was as if a typhoon ravaged through everything.

"What is this place..."
"A different world line..."
Rantai
I don't know how but yay!
bmin11
Well done again, Rantai
Mashley
At 3 players why would you even vote someone without spending ages discussing it?
Nyquill
Town would have probably won if akrol lynch D2. Either way it was pretty inevitable that rantai would win in the end regardless of alignment.

Sorry about that guys, at least rantai replaced in and got his investigate. Wasn't really expecting to be this busy during the summer.

>>EDIT: Would the gamma world line be the same thing as the alter end world lines? (In the game). You know, the one without a 0 in front of the decimal, a world line where it is not possible to change it anymore.
akrolsmir
Nice. Apparently recruiting all the investigative roles works.

My final decision was going to be recruit Jinxy or recruit Nyquill... my hunch was that Lyby was going to get lynched because his confirmation came from LS (so much for that), so the question was whether you all would be willing to lynch a confirmed cop after I flipped. I probably would have gone for Jinxy had it not been for LS's suggestion otherwise, so kudos for that.

FWIW, this was going to be my fakeclaim until Nyquill drew a guilty on me:

You are Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica - a Magical Girl Candidate.

Back in your world, your loved one lies crippled on a hospital bed, forever unable to pursue his one passion: music.
You did what you could-- visit him often, bring him CD's...
Yet you know in your heart that it was but torture, as his dreams lay cruelly out of reach.
All you could do was helplessly watch him break down, until...

"I want you to form a contract with me and become a Magical Girl!"

Once this game, you may wish on behalf of another player.
That player will be healed and protected for the duration of that night.
In exchange, however, your soul is locked within Soul Gem- meaning that you lose your right to vote.
Should you do so anyways, the next night might have you turn into a Witch...

You win with town (for now...).
In retrospect, that was probably too creative of a role. Good thing I never had to use it xP.

Well I imagine world lines to be separated by an integer in the divergence meter. α was from 0 - 1. β was from 1 onwards. γ should theoretically be from 2 onwards.
Techincally they would be the same thing, except Kurisu retained her memories with Rintarou and they can practically make another machine.
