It's not a British event It's a world wide event that happens to be held there, cant see the statistics on that poll nor how wide spread it got but if the demand is there I don't see any reason not to give it some consideration and give the people of the world what they want. Like it or not Miku is Japan's Diva, she's already part of their culture, so her singing during the Olympics would make sense, even though it's highly unlikely.

Besides, whether Vocaloids sound nice is a matter of opinion, to me there are some songs which are terrible, but there are also those I would take over repeating Baby over and over again anyday.

In more relevant news, it looks like whoever gets to play won't even earn any money for it. Apparently, unsigned performers are being approached as a method to circumvent monetary wrangling. Personally, I think that this is fairly disgraceful, because the body behind the Olympics spent enough time scrounging money for everything else.
While we're at it, why not redact any payments which were made to the construction workers, while backing it up with the feeble excuse of prestige? Anybody who isn't a huge act would probably be making a lacklustre wage, so Logoc should put their money where their mouths are and show some financial support.
