I have a small request.

I usually don't make threads of my own. At all. Only a very few times. But... in this particular situation, I'm actually going to need to gather help. It's not for me, even, but for Shiirn.

Right now, his living conditions... is crap. He's low on food and money at the moment... And his new laptop's insert (where he hooks up the laptop to charge) had gotten busted. After hearing about all of this mishaps, I wanted to try and help him. Somehow. So, I decided to start a fund for him, so he can, at the very least, get the laptop fixed and possibly get himself some food. The total that I'm guessing is 150 USD, to possibly fix his laptop and get himself enough food to get by.

I'm not forcing anyone to donate. But I really want to help my lover out, in the best way I can. If you can donate, I'll truly appreciate it.

P.S. Sorry for not coming online on Steam too often (for the Portal 2 co-op). Perhaps in the near future, if you still have the game installed that is.

Can't send any money right now (About to make a big move from Missouri to California), but I wish Shiirn the best and I hope he can get through this quickly and get back to a normal life. I was in a similar situation not too long ago and it seriously sucks to be in that kind of situation.

When you say "busted", do you mean his laptop a/c port doesn't detect that he's plugged his charger in? An easy fix would be to open it up and resolder the connection. Easy and cheap if he or someone he knows has a soldering iron.

I can send delicious foods to him if he talks to me more often. JUST SAYING, SHIIRN. /bribe

Poor sod, it's this sort of stuff that scares me about living by myself in the future. I depend on too many people. Shiirn will get through it, he's a smart lad.

Thanks for the words of support / money offerings so far. He'll be able to buy a bit more groceries so far!

@Nekoroll: A/C charger is like... busted. Physically broken, iirc. So it might be a bit expensive to fix that up, if anything.

I don't know the technical terms but, you know the little poking thing in the center of the port, the little stick of metal? yeah, it broke off, and it got stuck inside the plug in the charger. I tried to take apart the plug, but I couldn't even get to the little piece of metal, much less solder it back together. It'll.. need a replacement. And at that point, I'd rather call for professional help.



And thanks so much everyone. After PayPal connects to my bank account I'll be able to get some better food first and foremost =~= Since I still have a (somewhat) operational computer, the more essential living things are first priority to the better computer.

He has a spare laptop, but it won't hold up for long in itself. Shang, if you read, you'd know of it.

this can happen to anyone and it's bad luck

you never know the value of something or how easy your life is until you get into one of these situations

i wish you all the best shiirn stay strong hang in there your still human and your one of us , everything will be alright eventually when you recover and get back up your feet

Food banks are helpful. If you're in a rut, and you have a valid California ID and like, a small fee (I'm not sure if it's per visit or just for registration), you can go to one and get food. I can't garuntee it'll all be good, but it's something. I'm not sure which part of California you live by, so I can't really suggest any places.

Also, I'm closely linked to Rotary as well as many other smaller non-profit organizations that help in tough times like this. Don't be afraid to give me a call seeing if there's any places close to you. Knowing California, I know that there's always a place within reasonable distance that's willing to help, especially in my part of California (Seeing as my part has the 2nd highest poverty rate in the nation <__<).

So, my hopes and prayers are with you, and I hope you can get out of this rut soon.
