Yeah, basically what I was gonna say if you disagreed is that humans are special in that we have learned to make our own decisions by ourselves. What the pic is describing is basically what a robot is. A robot has no sense of self; it has memory, but it doesn't choose what to remember: we tell it what to remember. An AI only exists because we as humans want it to.

we are just a collection of atoms made in an arrangement that forms neurons, which are connected in various ways to drive our consciousness, memory, motor fuctions. We can replicate those connections and behavior to create an artificial human concsiousness. Such that can create society and make inventions like us.

So far in this thread two people have failed miserably at embedding images, one of them failed three times in a row. Looking to be a good 2019.
