Hey there,
I have been getting this every song i have played since newest update.

As it states in the error, I have tried everything possible regarding sound card drivers/firmware.
Including, but not limited to, Uninstalling current soundcard drivers(full uninstall, registry and all)
and reinstalling newest version then trying, uninstalling Osu! completely/Reinstalling and trying,
and lastly uninstalling sound drivers+osu+.NET frameworks+openGL/Reinstalling from scratch...
and now I am typing this lol

I have been using a Xonar DX pci-e sound card for over 4 months with osu! and a good six months before the new card and no problems untill now.

System:
Windows XP home
Asus M2N SLI-Deluxe Motherboard
Asus Xonar DX sound card

The error means that your sound card is playing back sound too slow or fast. It will also likely be at a different pitch. You can check if this is true by playing an mp3 in osu! and in another media player at the same time. It may be that you have to manually set the sample rate in control panel to match your sound card's output..

Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab > Properties (on your correct output) > Advanced > Default Format.

Have a play around and see if you can come up with a solution that works for you.

Thank you for the explanation peppy.
I had tried all the sample rates available and none of them worked BUT
your description of the problem made me think of my CPU speed
(auto ajusted by a program depending on need) making it fluctuate too much? ...
anyways, its working now that I keep that proggy off...

Thanks Again..

You haven't really described your problem.... Is everything too early? Too late? Is there no sincing between play and sounds at all? More details please.
Sorry An64fan, but the sound and everything is fine in terms of timing, but I kept getting a red error bar at the bottom telling me that there was an "error during timing calculations and that my score would not be submitted"...
Thought I would explain myself to you now so if you see this problem happen for anyone else you can help em :)
Thanks for the quick response as well.
Great community.

yeap, just so future users know. if you happen to have overclocked your CPU or pressed overclock/turbo on your laptop or use anything to change processor speed then turn it off and it will fix this problem.

but what if it happens when i have not overclocked cpu
I mean when i dont overclock i got error but when i overclock it the problem stops
