[Archived] Game acts weird: changes map background

Problem details: the game changes the map preview background to other random maps that i have and when people /np me the song it takes me to a complete diffrent song.

Apparently this can fix itself over time, but I'm not sure how true that is. If you want to wait a few days, be my guest.

If you'd like to fix it immediately, close osu! and move the file "osu!.db" outside of your osu! folder. When you restart the game and head to the song selection screen you should see all of your maps reprocess - that means you removed the correct file.

Just a note, this will mark all of your maps as unplayed (meaning you won't be able to use the recently played beatmap grouping) and you will lose any beatmap specific settings, like background dim, local offset, scroll speed, etc.
