Feature: Bonus pp based on performance of others

Idea: Players who set outstanding plays compared to the rest of the plays would be rewarded with some bonus pp. Now I'm not saying it should turn 700 -> 800, but some small bonuses would help pat out a pp system that will realistically always have some sort of meta.

Specifics: The only HDDT FC on a leaderboard with no HR fc would give bonus %pp (up to 2% cap). A *600pp play that ends being the only non-hr/dt fc, compared to all chokes would make it 602 (a 0.33% bonus). Another play being worth 600pp that ended up being not only the sole HR fc, but the only fc will make it 607 (a >1% bonus). A HDHR FC compared to a plenty of nomod fcs should not (imo) give any noticable bonus, as well as a HDDT FC compared to dozens of HDHR fcs and SSs. (But ofc will be rewarded if there are only a handful of fcs). The feature should also take into account the total of contestable plays (ppl in the around the rank), and the amount of contestable plays within the year/month/idc. A HDDT FC compared to no fc is amazing, but compared to 10 submitted contestable plays won't even nudge the bonus.

Other stuff: Should scale logarithmically, ofc. Only the more insane plays should feel the impact, and the full whatever% cap won't realistically be felt unless it's bigblack hrdt. I don't know if it should work for insane passes too, but might be exploitable. The "contestable" plays rank range should be bigger than you initially think. Also note that this will never benefit #57 leaderboard plays, but #1 leaderboard plays. And because of how insane the play has to be, the idea is that only one person will ever touch 10 bonus pp in the game every 6 months. (maybe only once a year if my judgement is off)

Just came up with another idea lol: Make the cap even lower (to prevent exploitation) in exchange for separating the bonus pp from the play to your total. Have a bonus pp listed in profile maybe. Because the cap is pushed down even further, realistically 5 medium-insanity 600pp plays would give ~10pp, but a 10 bonus pp that will be displayed on ur profile.

This is basically trying to add a small element of PPV1 in to the PPV2 system.

PPV1 created lots of problems which this wouldn’t replicate but we’d see small versions of it.

1. Popular maps are overweighted.
This is due to the fact that more people play a map and so the top scores beat more people and are considered more impressive.

2. First person to play a map with a certain mod will have advantage. This is especially true if a map doesn’t have spinners as the score won’t be beatable

3. PP decay.
This comes from the fact that more players over time set equally or more impressive scores and your play would give less bonus.
