So is there a thread where you can post a lovely song and maybe some friendly mapper would give it a shot?

Simply because a lot of people suck at mapping and also know it but would still like to click them beats to your own favourite song.

Beatmap requesting is not allowed on forums. Ask a friendly mapper you know personally.

If you can see this it means I'm posting outside of the mapping forums and you should take anything I said with heaps of salt, or as purely intended for humor.
