Touchpad -> "tablet"

Any way to turn the touchpad of a laptop into a (sort of) "tablet"? Like the coordinates (2,5) on touchpad make the mouse go to (2,5) on monitor?

Like a tablet but with your finger, ya know.

It is possible with my wacom bamboo tablet, but believe me...it's not funny, it's unprecise in any way possible and my bamboo tablet area is like 6 times as big as a normal pad on laptop.

I mean, you're not supposed to need a tablet for this, only the touchpad of a laptop.
