I didn't post this in Off-topic because I didn't want a bunch of shit

Let's talk about bands and stuff.

I'll start first. It's a hard choice, but considering that I own every single album of theirs and have listened to them endlessly for years now, I'm going to have to go with Bad Religion. They're an amazing and diverse punk-rock band formed in 1980 (or so). They still produce albums and put on shows around the world. While I think all of their albums are great, my favorite (and most listened to) one has to be The Empire Strikes First (2004). I'd give it a listen; you won't regret it (maybe).

Totally unexpected.

Bad Religion has been one of my favorite bands since I was 10/11. They came to Argentina in 2007 and it was awesome, they sound great live. Every song is good and I still listen to them every once in a while.

Through Epitaph I discovered Millencolin, which I had the pleasure to watch perform live here too in 2008, and has been my favorite band since I first heard it, Nikola Sarcevic has a great and unique voice.

I've had favorite bands and artists vary over the years, but I'll mention a few.
Rage Against The Machine, when I was little. Quickly moved on though.
Buckethead who I shamelessly discovered through Guitar Hero, had a lot of tracks I loved, and I still like to turn up the volume to stuff like Binge And Grab.
Today, Nekomata Master because the entire Backdrops album is amazing and I never get tired of stuff like Far east nightbird
I'd have to mention Matmatah also, a band from France and most particularly from Britanny, my native region. I never grew tired of their album called La Ouache, and I've been listening to them since I was 4.
Definitely The Prodigy too, especially since Invaders Must Die.

Basically everything I've mapped, I guess.

Meg & Dia, Ellie Goulding, Florence & the Machine, Imogen Heap, La Roux, Jennifer Rostock, OK Go, Owl City, My Chemical Romance, LostProphets, OK Go, Paramore, Pendulum, Celldweller, Rammstein, Sia, Vanilla Sky, Temposhark, K.I.Z. . And a lot of other stuff visible on my last.fm.
The range of stuff I listen to is a little scary. Lady Gaga and Rammstein both in one playlist, uhuh.

I'd also give out my last.fm but I seriously hate my username on there and I regret making it fully but I don't want to make a new account and lose years worth of scroblling

I've listened to them a few times, but they don't really do it for me. Alternative Rock is nice but I've grown distant from it these past few years.
NotShinta
Favourite artists evah are Regina Spektor, Electric Six (at least, Flashy onwards) and Kate Bush, or so it's been for a while now. The Smiths, Pixies and Tom Waits are up there too, but you know, I could provide a whole list.

Radiohead are alright. I like their weird 00's work more than anything else, and I wouldn't say no to seeing them live.
Cyclohexane
Radiohead... I've listened to a couple of their songs, they've got good stuff but it's really not my style. I'll prefer Blur to it really.
NotShinta
Blur are pretty awesome, too. Wouldn't compare them musically to Radiohead but they're probably more consistently good
Mogsy
Radiohead is a pretty weird band in general, but they've always walked the line between 'pretty cool but just okay' and 'pretentious' for quite awhile. Not a huge fan, but I can see why people can like them; the lyrics are occasionally fun to analyze if you're into that sorta thing.
Stefan
Linkin Park, Fort Minor
Love them. -w-
SilentKiller
Mine would be Soundgarden , Audioslave ,
and Rage against the machine.
dNextGen
i personally think that Radiohead is always in the pretentious line

but that's just me i guess, some of their fans go like "look at me i listen to radiohead its 2deep4u mainstreamer fag"
Blue Stig
Rush
Saw them in concert 2 times.
You never know what they are going to write next.

Blue Man Group
The only real way to experience them is to witness a performance.

Souleye
Queen
Andrew York
Some others
Cyclohexane
Rush are pretty damn amazing, I wish I had discovered them through other means than Guitar Hero.

I love Linkin Park!!!

Not to hate on anybody's taste or anything, but I don't get what people see in Deadmau5. I mean, his music seems so boring and plain to me. Maybe I'm being thick-headed, and I've only ever listened to one album of his...
mathexpert
For me, deadmau5 is really hit or miss. A lot of them are pretty similar, but a few stand out, especially "Careless". The lyrics (which come 3 minutes in xD) are pretty profound and I like the piano aspect. It's autotuned to hell but I think in this example it makes it feel "artificial" in a good way.

Also I listen to his more ambient stuff while reading or drawing. :)
Backfire
Deadmau5 has ONE good song.
