As the thread title states this is about the wait users have to endure before their map is marked from being a pending project to graveyard bound and allowable for deletion at said user's discretion.
I'm proposing a reduction of time from the current four weeks to a fourteen day wait.
As I am relatively new (only been here for less than a year so far) and even newer to the mapping scene in general I do apologise if this has been brought up before.
Now, if I were to take a rough guess as to why the four weeks were put in place before maps went to the graveyard it would have been well before the allowance to delete your own beatmaps and was simply a means to stop people from mass uploading every beatmap project they may have had to decrease overall server load.
This however can now be counteracted against due to the recent option peppy introduced which allows their deletion.
In saying this I would also consider the possibility of imposing a maximum limit for graveyard maps that a user is allowed to have at any given time to a reasonable amount.
This way there wouldn't be users with >n amount of graveyard maps.
People who have those ridiculous amount of beatmaps would easily still have them on their PC so it's not loss to them if they remove it from their osu! map list.
