Style-Specific Maps

I've read and re-read the submission guidelines and criteria multiple times, but I've seen nothing as far as rules on game-specific maps like taiko or ctb.

I do plenty of mapping, but I don't map anything at all for standard (or ctb), since I almost strictly play taiko.
So my question is, can I still submit my maps even though they don't have any standard difficulties?
Could those maps get approved/ranked? What about if someone wanted to guest for the song after I had submitted?

I'm merely curious because I couldn't find anything after hunting around for a while.

Mapsets must have at least two osu! standard difficulties, one of which must be an Easy/Normal level
You must fully map at least one difficulty of a mapset if you are the person who is uploading it

You can submit maps without standard diffs, but no one will rank/approve them. If you want to submit it to friends to play, I would advise putting it at some other file uploading site. (The guidelines Breeze linked are usually interpreted like that)

I know taiko mappers/players tend to post t/5397, but I don't follow the thread. As a result, I am not sure what happens there.
