I've listened all three songs... this is a bit hard to criticize because my english skills are not so good, but i'll give it my best.
My first impression is the lack of melody, i always try to follow the 'riff' of the songs when i hear them, but this genre doesn't really has a strong melody-focus, but instead of that, it gives you a lot of new sounds and 'gestures?', that doesn't overlaps one another, doesn't 'overload' the song itself and makes the listener really expectant of what sounds the song is gonna gives you next.
I love it how it sets an ambience, just like the genre name says. While listening to it, eventually you'll get lost at your own thoughts, and slowly this tune really grabs you by the hand and drags you off earth. Im not heavily into that space and universe stuff, but this genre made me dream of the universe and how nice it would be if i could travel across it.
I'll not talk about the "technical music terms" of this song a lot, i don't see complex rhytms and incredible musical gestures, but they are not necessary, the genre itself is good enough and doesn't has the need to incorporate them, but instead, the simple rhytms makes you really easy to grown attached to the song. Also, the bass sounds are fucking incredible, they make love to my ears, especially in tracks #1 and #3.
I really love when a song has a long length, but 8-10 minutes doesn't make justice to this genre. In all three songs, the lengths weren't enough for me, because they are REALLY slow songs, and just because of that, it takes a long time to get you in the right mood of the song (for me it was like ~4-5 minutes), and when you get to that point, you want to stay as long as you can, but when the song ends, i only get disappointed because i wanted more. I suppose this is fine because the songs are so similar to each one, that this genre is not about just listening to one song, but you'll have to listen to the genre as a whole.
This part was hard to explain, but in resume: The songs, even if they indeed could be called long-length songs, the length is not enough, i think 12-15 minutes are perfect to get to hear the whole song. I think a fix for this is having your own playlist and listen to the genre as a whole. Finally, im not into Electronic Genre in general, in fact i don't really like it because its way too inorganic. But this genre was a nice way to open my mind, i didn't think synth sounds could really be so harmonic and pleasing to hear.
This could sound a bit hypocrite after listening to the songs im gonna put next lol. This was hard to criticize with my current english skills, but i could talk about it in my native language for hours and hours, it's a very rich genre and going into the very little details of every song sounds like a lots of fun to me.
I'm absolutely up for hearing more of this.
Sorry for the typos, i hope it's understandable enough.-
