Having checked the rules, I try to make the discussion friendly with reason.

This is not a recent topic. There are quite a few mappers who kept making maps, some over 100 and ranked.

With acknowledgement of their contribution to the community, there are often voices against their popularity, most of which point out that the popular mapper is overrated.

What do you think is the cause? If you are one of the players who dislike one of the mappers who keeps/kept having their maps on the most-played list, please give your voice. Why do you think the mappers are overrated?

Your opinion is important and will help build a better community.

I hate Sotarks maps.
His rhythm sense has to be really really diferent of what i undertand. It's like he is making a new music style what i never listened before and i didn't like it after.

It's more a general feel starting the map, in the middle and after play it.
When i start playing a Sotarks map i think: WOW this fucking shit is amazing. After 20 seconds i start feel like everything is random, and like he got bored and start mapping, he like it and he upload it without care if it could be 100 time better or don't. (I'm not saying he do that, i'm saying it's what i feel playing his maps)

In the opposite side i see Monstrata maps like something where everysingle circle was tested on each fucking pixel until reach the perfect spot. The patterns make sense itself and also make sense with all the map as a global thing. Seems like he follow perfection as a goal while mapping and never it's going to fill a map with something isn't 100% what he had in mind.

And Sotarks seems like he is putting his cool ideas on the map, wasting all his energy on start the map perfectly. But seems like he got inspiration to start making the map the first day. But the 2° day it's other new idea. And the end map seems to me like a pattern was made one day trying to do one thing, and the next pattern was made other day like it's made for a different map trying to do other thing.

I find a lot less experienced mappers what have only 2 3 maps uploaded, and they have everything what Sotarks maps don't have. I really fill them as that, a random shit mixed with more random shit.
