I finally reached the top 50 of wa. vs ETIA. - Akasagarbha [Normal] today. I first played about 100 games(without mods) and got a perfect 100% and 960K(estimated). I then tried about 200 games of it with fast & hide which got me 1.11Mil. I did about 150 hide, fast, & flashlight and got 1.58Mil. Realizing that flashlight sawks(is super hard and = memorize beatmap), I tried hide, fast, and hard and got 1,666,420 bouncing me from 98th-70th-41th-37th.

Now on to the topic... I want to know how long do you play and/or watch replays/automod a beatmap until you decide to use mods on it?

I've played only three beatmap with mods and I started about each after 50-100 games.

I don't always play with mods, but when I do, it's on the second or first play.

I mainly powerplay. I as closely as possible string an entire song in a combo to get a high score and move on.

If it's a song I like, a new song, or otherwise a song I want to strive for a high score on, I'll throw mods on. Hidden, followed by hard rock and double time. Flashlight if it's short and easily memorable.

I view mods only as methods of obtaining a higher score for the particular map. The fastest way to rank though is powerplay as mentioned above.

It's as I said. I just try to clear the song with as many notes stringed together to build the combo. Which is the default backer for obtaining a high score.

Well I'm pretty sure they would make an exception if I lost an account and wanted to play their lovely game.

Already tried, but it is no good when you don't remember all of your information.

Even asking for personal help won't get you it back unless you can prove it was yours.

Can't do it? Good. Do another song
Repeat until bored.

I sometimes put hidden when I was bored, but that's about it :>

Well for a start I play with mods more for the lulz rather than going for a top rank, and they are usually on a familiar song or one which is relatively easy to read.

As you can probably tell from my 'Most Played' list I pretty much hate grinding any particular map. So to answer the OP with this in mind, usually on my 1st or 2nd play like Rena.

i generally just start off full mods with easy and normals (i never use sudden death)
if the normal is long i might practice without hidden before the full mods

if it's hard or insane, then 2nd play usually

anyway i dont really use mods, but when i do its on my 2nd try. 1st is to find out i can use mods.

I don't always use mods either. But when I do, I use them maybe like 1 month after I break in the song or something. But I don't really use mods much, which is why I wait so long. And also because I don't feel like using them
