Latest Release: 0.2.0a

Preface

Hello people,

I've created a tool for SV + BPM editing.

The main purpose is to make SV editing as easy as possible.
This is mainly aimed at mappers who would want to test waters with SVs and BPM, it doesn't go too in-depth with regards to flexibility (eg. superimposing SVs/measure line animation/etc.), however that is planned in the far future if it isn't done.

features:

- Stutter
- Copier
- Two Point Bezier
- Normalizer
- Alter

Feedback & Issues

I welcome all questions and feedback on this thread or on the repository
As always, please read the wiki before questioning.

Noted issues

There's no output?
What is <Timing Point>/<Editor Hit Object>/<Hit Object>?

Read up on what are the valid inputs, it takes around a minute! Input Types

What is the output, how do I use it?
You copy the text of the output, and paste it in the Timing and Control Points (open with F6) window! (Seriously just click on it and paste directly)

The program crashed!
Is it replicable? If it is, please post it as an issue ISSUE on the repository!
Also, you can read up on what are the valid inputs here

I don't get it even with the wiki
I get that it's confusing to use in the first place, you are free to contact me in-game, offline or online.
Adding to that, you are free to question anything in this thread.[/color]

It's not supported in <some system>
It's only supported on Windows

0.1.0a Released!

Hello, I have just released 0.1.0a of amber, where most things are revamped!
There's detailed changelog since I re-did everything, but there are a few things that are taken out and replaced.

As always, if there's any issues, any feature requests you'd like you can post here or Create an Issue in the GitHub Repository

Here are some things that you will find different:

Stutter
  1. Added a few presets for BPM Line freaks
  2. Added BPM Functionality

2 Point Function
  1. Added Curve Type
  2. Allow Inversion of Y in Curve
  3. Allow invalid values without value curbing

Adjuster
  1. IS GONE

Alter
  1. Replaces Adjuster
  2. Added tons of quick functions to edit the Timing Points
  3. Now you can multiply/add Timing Points together!

Guide how to make gradually increasing(or decreasing) stutter stream (at 1.0x average).

I'm going to use the old amber because I can't run the new one. It doesn't matter tho. You can use this method on any version.
attention: the interval between stutters has to be the same

Step 1.

Choose the start and the end of the stutter stream. Select the start note and put it on stutter function; Choose the values. These values are going to be the initial amplitudes.
Don't put the SV on the map yet. Just save them somewhere

Select the end note and put it on stutter function; choose the values. These values are going to be the highest and final amplitude of the stutter stream
Don't put the SV on the map yet. Just save them somewhere

attention: the tresholds of the first and second stutter should remain the same
attention: make a OFFSET_VALUE value: threshold SV - initial SV = OFFSET_VALUE. Keep this value somewhere, we will need this

Step 2.

Select the start and the end of the stream and put them to the 2-point function:

Initial SV: the initial value you chose on the start note
End SV: the initial value you chose on the end note

Intermediate points: count the amount of notes

now put the result on the map

Step 3.

Select the start and the end of the stream and put them to the 2-point function:

Initial SV: the threshold value you got on the start note
End SV: the threshold value you got on the start note

Intermediate points: count the amount of notes

now put this function on the map and move selected notes by OFFSET_VALUE

please tell me if my wording is not clear somewhere, I'll try to fix that

omg, this will be helpful for me when I'm mapping. sv mapping is really cool.

Actually really useful! It takes me 2 days to get used to the UI, even with the guide since maybe I'm not too used to the terminologies used in the program. Saved me SO many hours spent meticulously editing SVs, let alone normalizing and making stutters. I just finished my first map using reamber here. Thank you thank you thank you!

PS: You can use Ctrl + Shift + P to quickly add timing points. This also saves A LOT of time in conjunction with reamber.
