i've set the preview point for my beatmap and other difficulties, i click one difficulty and when i click another, the song (preview point) repeats. how can i get the song to play smoothly as i select other diffs?

Are there multiple mp3s in your song folder? Even if a mapset is using different preview points between difficulties, you won't be able to tell unless you go back into the editor and exit again. The only time I can think that the preview would change from the song select menu is when there is more than one mp3 being used.
