I've been going through every denizen in OT and finding their first posts in here to fill into the OT!Chronicles. I found some interesting correlations while doing it too. Even though you have to go through OT to get to forum games, most would post in forum games before posting in OT. Another thing is that almost everyone who posted in forum games eventually posted in OT, and it is interesting how long it takes some to even do it. Most of you started out either modding beatmaps, floating around in G&R, or like me, going around feature requests and help. Then there are a small group of you that just peaks my interest, who started hanging out in OT practically right off the bat, and I'm like




Well then, what made you make your first posts in OT, guys?

I made my first post in OT after lurking in OT for a week or two, and still had the stricter rules from feature requests and help fresh in my mind. My first encounter with the folks here is amusing to look back at.

Boredom. Lurking mostly around FG, posting cancer, and looking at OT, only to post more cancer like: t/681694&start=5

...a bit disappointed by my first OT post.

I started posting here because there wasn't really any place to talk about osu (the game as a whole and the website, not STD gamemode): G&R was for STD and GD's subtitle strictly prohibits osu-related discussion. You can see that some of my first threads were about my post count and about people's song folders. I just kinda stuck here, I guess. Sadly, I came in just as a lot of people were leaving/going inactive, such as Mahogany, Razzy, and Jellyblob.

Maybe I am biased to people who make threads because I notice and remember those a lot better. Which is kinda sad. Someone can never make a thread and play a huge part in posts, and I would prob not remember them a year or two after.

i started posting in the spanish sub, made like +10000 posts there

it had less posts/day than OT and way less people, but, nonetheless, it was a good place to hang out, at least until it started suffering from excessive moderation

there was only 1 thread to shitpost in, the rest was just forum games. after (roughly) 3 years and no warnings whatsoever, mods suddenly decided that such thread was not for shitposting and started taking action

it ultimately devolved into conversations being quite unpleasant due to the amount of posts deleted, people started getting warnings/silences left and right etc. it's as if mods suddenly wanted us to argue about quantum physics/child poverty/catalonia's independence or something, because most of our posts were simply disregarded and treated as "nonsense" even though we were simply doing our usual banter

things were getting messy, so Serraiongo Decided To Crash Into OT,,,,
also, i made a couple of posts in OT back in 2015, but there was no reason for me to stay here because the spanish sub was already a good place. it wouldn't be until february 2017 that migration would be necessary

and some time later the shitposting thread was closed for good because users were getting fed up with the whole situation and publicly started arguing against such excessive measures, so i'm certain i made the right choice
