The beatmap upload limit is there to prevent users from making and uploading a beatmap they dont plan to work on and get it ranked, you can increase the limit by buying supporter tag or getting maps ranked but i doubt it will ever be removed.

As much as I would LOVE for this to happen, no. When a map gets uploaded, it takes up server space. Then it takes magic computer energy to download the map. This costs money. Now, let's say the limit was removed.

People can abuse it constantly. They can upload a plethora of maps and fill up the entire server with things that they don't even plan on getting ranked. This fills up the server, and forces peppy to spend much more money so that our 5 maps where we drew sliders to look like penises can stay on the server.

So, no~.

Aw. I'd let famous mappers upload more so their hands won't be tied because of the slow ranking process.

If you're popular enough and skilled enough to make many, many maps at once, you're also popular and skilled enough to get them ranked quickly.
