At long last, it's time for the second edition of the osu! Double Yolk Cup,

hosted by helix and Felicia!

Tournament Information and Rules

  1. This is a 2v2, international osu!standard tournament consisting of 64 teams.
  2. The minimum combined rank of both players is 1000, and we will take the top 64 teams based on total pp at the end of the signup period. This means total rank must be 1000 or greater.
  3. Both members of each registered team must join the Discord server and change their discord name to their osu! Username. This is to verify rosters are correct and provide communication to both members of teams.
  4. Matches will be played on: osu!standard, Team VS, Score V2. Warmups will use Head to Head mode.
  5. Apart from hosts, map pool selectors and referees, all staff members are eligible to sign up.
  6. Both staff and players must treat each other with respect. Failure to do so will result in penalisation of the team as a whole, possibly leading to removal from the tournament and future iterations of the tournament.
  7. Where rules do not prevail, common sense will. The staff team has discretion to apply their judgement wherever they see fit.
  8. Map pools for each round will be released on the Monday prior to the first match. The format for each pool can be found on the full rules document
  9. Match schedules will be released on the Monday prior to the first match. If you are unable to attend the match at the scheduled time, message your opponents to find an acceptable time and post proof in the #reschedules channel on the Discord server. Reschedules will only be allowed up until Friday at 23:59 UTC. No exceptions.

Match rules can be found on the full rules document found in the links section above.
NB: These rules may be updated at any time. Any changes will be listed on the full document.

Does "minimum combined rank must be over 1000" mean that it must be between 1 and 1000, or does it mean it must be between 1000 and infinity? I'm asking because we usually say that #1 is "greater than" #2, even though, mathematically speaking, 2>1.

To clarify the sum of the two players ranks must be 1000 or more. 500 and 501 is ok, 200 and 201 is not, etc.
