For some unknown reason (laziness?), I haven't been watching movies in ages. I'd like to raise my common knowledge by watching something really good movies. Can you recommend something for me? I can watch most of the stuff, I think.

Pretty much any Scorsese movie is worth the watch... Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The Departed, Shutter Island, Gangs of New York etc.

If you want to watch more recent ones, I'd suggest Midnight in Paris, Drive, The Tree of Life, The Artist and Hugo.
Rango is also worth the watch

and of course Tarantino movies are always great~
