hold shift and launch osu, once the window pops up, enable compatibility mode

Don't provide information regarding Fallback without confirming their GPU does not support newer version. You should probably leave that kind of stuff to us - Dntm8kmeeatu

a: i normally would, had a little brainfart

Do you get any errors or a "Can't find name of Intel ICD OpenGL Driver" errors? Also, please provide your GPU

I get the error of Intel ICD OpenGL Driver
I'm not a tech guy myself so idk which one of these

"Intel(R) HD Graphics 520
NVIDIA GeForce 920M"

Please make sure your Intel graphics drivers are up to date. Intel released a fix for this specific issue in all of their driver versions 15.46 and higher. If you get your graphics drivers through a computer manufacturer, they may use a different versioning scheme and their most recent drivers may still have this issue. It is good idea to download them directly from Intel's website.

Temporary solutions include: Running osu! with integrated graphics and disabling compatibility mode if applicable. It is highly recommended you fix this issue permanently by downloading up to date drivers.

If you believe you have enabled compatibility mode, navigate to your osu! folder and edit the file "osu!.pcname.cfg". Verify that the line "CompatibilityContext" is set to 0. If it is not, change it and save the file. Otherwise, this was not the cause.

Alongside this, if you really don't want to put in the effort to fix your issue permanently, setting "Fullscreen" to 0 in the osu!.pcname.cfg file should do the trick; but that's not recommended, since running osu! without fullscreen hurts performance and the feeling of input latency due to DWM buffering

I'm running osu on borderless windowed before I set it to fullscreen so I don't really mind

Is there actually no way than either setting fullscreen to 0 or have my updated drivers updated already?

There are two other possible solutions listed in the quote. Keeping your drivers up to date is highly recommended though.

I already have my drivers updated yet the problem still persists.
Might as well just install osu on public compshops lol

Double click on the Intel GPU listed under display adapters in your event viewer then take a picture of the driver tab and post it here if you don't mind.

Your driver date says 2016, that is not very updated.
