This is why you don't install games in C drive. Though I don't get it, how did it end up having to do a clean installation?

The latest windows update wouldn't allow me to boot up my PC, I also wasn't able to revert back to the older version nor could I boot up safe mode so I had to reset it.Flanster wrote:

Theres always solutions before wiping everything.
1. Boot up the Windows installer and install over the old one.
2. Boot up a live CD of another operating system like Linux to access files.
3. Hookup drive externally to another machine to transfer data.
Keep that in mind, its not the end of the world if windows breaks, also making backups is a must.
