So i have had this idea for a while now.
The thing that i miss allot when i play multiplayer is an option for the host to let other people decide what mods they use.
Of course mods like Auto/Relax/half time won't be available but stuff like double time, hidden, hard rock, flash light why not?.
The reason for this is simply that when you are playing with friends or other players that aren't that good you can still get yourself a challenge if the host enables this option.
Some might say it will be unfair because the better player will win? but isn't that how its supposed to be?
This option can only be enabled by the host so if the host wants a fair play then he obviously wont enable this option but if your playing in a casual setting (for example with your friends) then why not? Mods can help you but can also lead to failure so it ads an extra challenge for the people that decide to use a mod.
Also the problem with double time is not really a problem. The one that chooses to use Double time will have the consequences of waiting for the rest to finish before the final score will be calculated from all the people in that game.
So yeah i hope that i'm not the only one that finds this idea somewhat worthy to implement into osu in the future.
and i will be updating this thread and adding more idea's/thoughts about how this could be implemented if more people see potential in this.
