So I recently moved to Japan to study for a year and I need a laptop for studying and playing osu! since I didn't bring one with me. But I'm having a hard time picking one out.

My budget is around 1700usd/1400euros/190k yen. Naturally I want to save as much money as possible without losing out on performance in osu!.
And I will have to buy some headphones and a small keyboard, not necessarily a full size. Just something to use while playing osu.
And since I'm going to use it in school as well I don't really want one of thoes gaming laptops that look like a space ship.
Just something simple/clean that can run osu! flawlessly and work for school as well.

I might play some other games, but they are mostly games like binding of Isaac, enter the gungeon, dead cells. The heaviest game that I play is path of exile. But recently I haven't been playing it a whole lot.

Looking forward for your suggestions!

Sorry for shitty English. I'm doing this from my phone...

Nvm, but anyways I would recommend that you buy Dell laptops that have premium support tags on them cause they can fix your laptop at your home.

And also have a budget of 570+ dollars because buying a decent laptop can be quite expensive

Well not really, but I would say that you should concentrate at the graphics and core processor, I would DEFINETLY recommend buying a laptop with I7 and also make sure that the laptop your buying has a warranty

Yeah, been looking at one with a I7 and 1050TI graphics card. Also comes with 16gig of ram and 125gig ssd+1tb hard drive.

I would personally look into an Acer Aspire E15, had one of those a while ago before i dropped it and broke the screen. Ran osu pretty well while not having too much of a gamer-ish look on it. It's on the pretty cheap side as well while packing decent performance.

That’s quite beefy just for running osu! I’d recommend i5 core processor along with a 1tb hard drive. Prices for these kinds of laptops tend to be lower-ish.

Yeah, the price drops pretty significantly. Do you think I need a dedicated graphics card or do you think like the standard Intel graphics are enough to run it?

So I found a Asus laptop for 120000yen (including taxes) with an I5 quad core, 256gig ssd, 8gig of ram, and a Nvidia 1050. No extra storage tho and its a 2017 model. It's 30k cheaper then the 2018 msi model that I was talking about earlier.

What do you guys think about that?

Yeah, that's a razore blade pro! That's like 400k yen! I don't have that amount of money if I want to be able to eat for the next three months 😂

Doubles as a tablet too if you're into that. It doesn't have a dedicated graphics card though, really depends on what "performance" you are looking for. Something like osu! should run fine within the 200fps+ range. Just a suggestion, you can also view similar models on the bottom of the page.

osu! isn’t a beefy game. You could run it on just about any newer computer. You won’t be needing a dedicated graphics card for osu!

A good choice would be the LG Gram laptop as it is pretty cheap but can still run programs and games easily.
If you want a more powerful laptop i recommend buying a refurbished Razer Blade (possibly the 2014 or 2015 model) as it is a super thin laptop that has a clean look but can run most modern games without a problem.
