Problem Details:
The Problem:


Osu editor saying that i don't own the beat map as seen in IMAGE 1
Proof that it's me seen in IMAGE 2 and 3 (is that enough?)


What i tried to do:


I followed the instructions from the osu website
METHOD 1 as seen in IMAGE 4 and
METHOD 2 as seen in IMAGE 6

METHOD 1 CAN'T be followed as it is already done as seen in IMAGE 5 when i open the Notepad file as stated in the instructions my name is already there. |

METHOD 2 i tried but it seemed fruitless because every time i try to do it the notepad file doesn't seem to save and re opening it proves it as it shows it state before i tried to change and "save" it. Same thing happens even if I close the osu client.|


Any weird thing i did / Info that might be useful:


I changed Laptops and just copied the whole osu file from that laptop to this laptop. |

I copied it in the D: drive but it was having a delay when i just copied it so i thought that might be a problem so I thought i should just Download it again and so I did and installed it at D: but it was still having issues with delay. Then I installed it on the SSD ( C: ) then it worked fine. |

I Just copied the song folder contents throughout that crazyness while testing. |

I started to make this beatmap before i change Laptops. |

I can still edit it like any other beatmap. |

It's not done i just wanted to see what happens if i try to upload it. |

It's my "first" map (i mean i tried before but didn't upload it it was trash tbh but maybe this map is also trash). |

ah i see what the problem here is, you didn't set the beatmap id.

BeatmapID:0
BeatmapSetID:-1

EDIT: You can give me the .osu file(s) and i will fix them for you.
EDIT 2: I forgot to say, but send them over with a forum pm

it's better to do like

export beatmap
delete your map
edit the .osu in the .osz (.osz is basically .zip so you can open osz with winzip winrar 7zip etc)
open the osz
done

since id you just directly edit the .osu in the song folder, osu will revert it back to the bugged state
