Why does this option still exist ? This is not used anymore i think ?

Why is that not removed since MSN is replaces by Skype ?

Some programs like my another osu!Sync plugin is need this to get current beatmap info when you are listening/playing.
the program can attach MSN interface and get artist/title/diff/status.
Piotrekol's StreamCompanion is also depend on this. :)
But I hope ppy can provide beatmapID/SetID/Creator. :
