Smooth Cursor Trail Help

So I was playing McOsu recently today (an open source osu practice game that had more mods for practice and is local, so no score submissions).

Essentially I was just messing around with the settings and the cursor trail, and it seems to be waaaay more smooth than in osu.

Is there anything I can do to increase the smoothness of the trail in osu?

I don't think it is possible in stable osu! because the coding for cursor trails could be different.

the only thing you could do is to make the cursor bigger or make the trail element smaller
