MATs and BATs can deny their own kd, and do so on a regular basis for when they get kd when they do not deserve it. I would like the ability to deny my own posts kudosu, but obviously ONLY my own posts.

The system is already set up to deny kd, I think it would be easy to implement, and it would stop me from getting 4 kd on a map I re-checked twice.

completed? semi related

MATs can? well some of them don't do that =_=

what's wrong with getting some more kudosu

helps reinforce which posts deserve kudosu and which don't. Rechecks do not usually deserve kudosu. Many new mappers do not know when to kudosu, and this lets modders tell mappers when it isn't appropriate. I've gotten kd when I said "no kd" before.

Also: leaving it up to the *ATs is silly. They aren't everywhere, and not all of them want to deny kd for someone else's post because it's rude.

it sucks when people can't read

Unlike the MAT/BAT system, I would suggest having a confirmation box (Do you REALLY want to deny your own kudosu?) or some other way to inform a modder, as some people might unwittingly remove kudosu they actually deserve due to misclicks, misunderstanding what "deny kudosu" means (for non-natives), etc etc. (The reason MAT/BAT don't have a confirmation box is because we can immediately "Reset Kudosu" as well, which returns it to its original state)

I can only see this accidentally happening once or twice, and it's only 1-2 kudosu. I also guarantee you've gotten kd before when you didn't deserve it.
Shiirn
Once or twice is enough for people to rant and rave. And misclicks happen. The average user won't be able to repeatedly deny and re-give their own kudosu.

Actually you cant reset kudosu from your own posts

Yes! Support. It's pretty stupid when my post says: No kudosu please! And yet I receive kudosu

Also, about what Shiirn is suggesting, the same thing applies to when we are giving kudosu. I myself, will admit that I have accidentally misclicked and given undeserved kudosu.

^This.

Oh yeah, i wanted to ask this to peppy (or i thought i asked him) the day he gave MATs the ability to deny/give kudosu, and i think i was asking for this specifically too at the time, and the MAT ended up with something better than what i asked, but i still support this for those non-MAT/BAT, also i think mappers should be able to deny kudosu from their own map threads in case they accidentally click "give kudos" button. They would still need a MAT/BAT to reset it imo tho.

I Feel pretty bad receiveing Kudosus for mods a mapper didn't apply or when I feel i didn't gained it

Just to clear it up, peppy supports getting kudosu'd for posts that were helpful even if the mapper didn't use them.
HakuNoKaemi
on the modder-side it's still different, gaining something you didn't deserve make you feel bad (at least for me)
bmin11
I support.

And about unintentionally denying kudosu, how about we just give another chance for the mapper's side to give the kudosu. In other word, just reset the button to "Give kudosu!" as if it was never given.
Sakura
because the post will have "This post has been denied kudosu" giving the mappers the ability to bypass this would destroy the purpose of BAT/MAT denying kudos, since the mappers can just reset them.

Oh really... crap

I support it~ o.o

Bumpity bump.

I've written on a few of my old posts when doing metadata, bg, video, etc checks not to KD my post since I'm not modding, but they still do anyways. I'd like to be able to deny them of my own will instead of having a BAT come by and do it themselves.

Any chance after 3 years of inactivity for this to happen?

Oh. Something I'd like to add. It'd probably be best that you can't deny your own KD after a few weeks or a month, much like you can't give KD to someone with a old post. Preferably the same length.
sheela
Same here. If the post doesn't want a kudosu, then it shouldn't have one.
