Getting old...?

I'm getting less and less interested in games, anime, memes and so on nowadays. Feeling more like going out or something... Things start to don't make any sense to me.

Am I getting old? :/
Zelmarked
Age shouldn't be a factor in your enjoyment of consuming media. You've just had too much. I know when my computer dies and I finally get the part/parts to fix it, I enjoy the FUCK out of it.

But yea, switch things up. Buy a bicycle and take a 5 min ride everyday.

you're far from getting old. just like Zelmarked mentioned earlier - you had too much of it :P
Cuddlebun
You're growing up, dumbass.

In before complaining about bills and other generalised life crap.

God forbid your interests and desires remain entirely static for your whole life.

You'll still be interested in what you've liked for the majority of your previous life, but you'll start to realize that there are other more important things to prioritize on. It's not as scary as you think but it certainly is frustrating. Don't worry, you're just growing up.

I'm 22 and even though I have a (might as well be) full-time job and am also a full-time student with bills and such, I still find time to play games or watch anime and silly things like that. I'm not into them as much as I used to be but they are still things that I enjoy engaging in. While they were formerly leisurely activities when I younger, they have now become tools for me to unwind with when the day is over with.

Rest in peace, shota bagno. :( We'll miss you.

I-I don't want this to happen to me. T_T
Sinistro
This has already happened to everyone in the transition from childhood to adolescence. It's just happening again. Some things change a lot, others less, some stay more or less the same. So like most people before me have posted, it's pretty normal.

I'm not cutting my hair. Ever.
@Nekoroll: Mmm, I already have job. Since I was 15, and sort of whine already about paying bills for my internet and phone. :3

Same. I cut my hair to get a job. Now that I have one it's gonna get loooong. I can almost put it in a ponyMANLY tail.
silmarilen

ykcarrot is so 28 year old dude omomomgomg and look he makes a lot of anime maps.
Same goes for Alace lol. (He maps more bemani tho)
I don't think that your interests can decrease because of getting old.

Vext is 21 and acts like a little kid.
All he does is play games, fool around with lolis, and watch anime/shitty japanese movies.
I'm pretty sure getting old has nothing to do with it.
Shellghost
But that's Vext. This is Bagno.
Jarby
By the way, do we have any regular forum goers that are 30+ years old?
Backfire
Well it can be applied either way, he's still fairly old.
Also @ Jarby, I remember sallygwizz saying they were 37.
But they were mega troll so yeah.
Jarby
30 isn't even middle aged, so I can't say 20 is particularly old. Elderly folk do enjoy some of the things in the same way they did when they were young also. Go talk to some old people!
Zelmarked
Edit: Getting rid of this.
silmarilen
mhh lol. there are people at my work who dont even know what world of warcraft is :P
there are maybe 1 or 2 other gamers (people who play a real game, not some stupid facebook game) there, and we work with about 40 people or so.

I will quote Cuddlebun on this, but I'll be using more polite version(because I don't know you and stuff)

Don't be afraid, it's natural.

I wish people around here were like that.

"What do you do for fun?"
I play games on the computer.
"Oh, so you play WoW?"

Which means, in 20 years, some of us may still be playing osu!? Interesting.
ampzz
I'll be approaching retirement by then...
xRayne
im 18 and im not into anime or gaming or manga as much as i used to be...sometimes, i feel childish for playing Osu! But then I just think that there are other people older than me who play this game, or still really into anime, etc, and it makes me feel a little better :3

My interests always bounce all over the place. They always have. I'm used to it.
Rantai
When I was 12 I acted however I acted.

8 years later, apparently, I haven't changed a bit : \
ampzz
I can confirm this.

Younger if anything, I'm sure you still have that lady of yours.

My grandfather enjoys watching Strike Witches with me.
He says seeing those innocent, yet brave little girls piloting such machines, fighting for what they believe in is so tearjerking for him.
My mother bought me the Spice and Wolf Light Novels because she liked the anime adaption i showed her.
It's not about the age, it's about your own way of thinking of things you tend to think about while thinking you are too old to think like that.

I think getting old has its own excuses. You just need to relieve/relive your interests once more. <3

He's just a closet yuri fan. ;)
Rantai
Sure it isn't the bath scenes he's interested in?

It's nice to see your folks keeping an open mind/enjoying such things. Can't say the same about mine...
