Haven't been watching much lately, but as i've grown a bit more picky, i have found some genres i prefer.

Likes:
Comedy
Romance
Sci-fi/super-natural (Pretty much opposites, but i like both in the same way)

Dislikes:
Harem (really depends, but most are pretty typical)
Ecchi (same as above)
Mecha (type of sci-fi, not a fan)

i like cute things

and sasasasasasasami and twin drills

3 slice of life (there are some exceptions, especially mixed genre, but most are pretty boring)

I think you might be right... I have watched Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi but I dislike it. I more likely meant BL elements mixed with other genres, which is not really a genre on its own then but w/e.

I think anime has several genres that have a continuity with each other and no genre can work separately. That's why I mentioned at least two genres in my most/least favorite genres list:

Favorite Genres:

•Drama/Slice of Life/Romance (Clannad, A Silent Voice, Wolf Children)
•Psychological/Dementia (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Perfect Blue, When They Cry)
•Seinen/Thriller/Military (Parasyte, Berserk, Monster)

Least Favorite Genres:

•Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri/Shounen Ai/Shoujo Ai/Ecchi (Sensitive Pornograph, Absolute Duo, Jutaijima)
•Fantasy/Magic/Super Power/Supernatural (Trinity Seven, Noragami, Kyoukai no Kanata)
•Vampire/Demons/Horror (Another, Tokyo Ghoul, Biohazard)

- Comedy (cmon, Japan has really good jokes)
- Action (as long as there bloodshed and tits, I'll watch it)
- Romance (RomCom YES!)

Dislikes

- Tragedy (i mean who would really like this genre anyway...?)

likes (imma do 5 because i cant really decide):
- comedy (its lighthearted)
- romance (tension)
- slice of life (although ill watch action/shounen anime aswell)
- shoujo (literally one of the best genres. i got into anime through a shoujo)
- psychological (i really love this genre, i just watch a variety of anime)

dislikes:
- music (love live and k on were boring imo)
- ecchi (im actually fine with it, its just that its repetitive)
- isekai (no offense, but most of it is just not my taste)
- harem (never really got the appeal of it)

- seinen (not the mature ones, but the cute girls doing cute things one, like k on and non non biyori)
