Hello Osu forum.

Today I will be doing a tutorial on how to download all ranked and approved beatmap packs using a program called “Mipony”.
What this program does is it allows you to download all beatmap packs at once so you don’t need to do it by hand.

I’m aware that there is already a tutorial on how to do this with Jdownloader but to be honest I tried it 2 times and both resulted in errors, download problems etc… so what I did is I used Mipoly for this tutorial and copied all Mediafire links by myself and tested them.
So no copy pasting from other people here just to be sure that all links are up to date and working as of 26/11/2011.

and just use my updated list of beatmap pack URL's with his method.

So let’s start of by downloading the program from http://www.mipony.net to our computer.
you don’t need to worry about costs as it’s a free program.

After you downloaded Mipony you press the Mipony-Installer.exe to install it to your computer.
Now simply follow these easy steps.







Now for this step you need to choose where you want to install Mipony.
i recommend you install it on the default location if your not a experienced user.



After installing you will get the following window.
Just press finish and Mipony will start.



The first time you run Mipony it will tromp you to update and restart Mipony.



Just press OK and close Mipony and then open it again

PART2

Now the first thing you will see is this webpage inside Mipony.
Simply close it by pressing the red cross.


Now that we have closed that page we need change some setting before we start downloading.
So go ahead and press the options button located on the top right corner.


Now this Window opens with various settings but you only need to change the setting so it matches to my picture below.
and select your download destination (make sure you have 30-40GB on your hard disk if you are planning to download all maps)
After your done press apply.


Now this is important!! Press the capture button to to disable Monitor Clipboard.
What this does is it copies everything you copy and puts it in your Mipony clipboard.
And we don't want that because if for example you copy a random link it will copy it into Mipony.


Now Copy paste all Beatmap pack urls into Mipony by copying the urls at the bottom of this tutorial using CTRL+C and CTR+V to paste them into Mipony.
After that make sure you press the DETECT LINKS button so it detects all links. (Note this may take up to 5min)

after that your Mipony should looks similar to this.


Now Press the Download selected button on the bottom left of your Mipony window.


After that you will be forced to answer 10 Captcha strings before the download starts.
and don't worry its only for the first 10 however you might get more after 40-50 maps but that is nothing you can do about.



And now you just wait for all beatmaps to download.
Depending on your connection it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 42 hours or so.

After you are done downloading go to you download folder and all packs should be there.



Now that we have all beatmap packs we need to go to our download folder and press CTRL+A to select all beatmap packs and right click on any beatmap pack and select extract all to “name of the beatmap pack you selected” and it will extract ALL beatmap packs you downloaded to 1 folder. (This also takes some time so be patient.)

After all .Rar files have been extracted you will have a folder with a ton of .osz files.
Now simply move all the maps to your Osu Song folder and start osu.
After all maps have been processed you will have something like this.



FIRST 200 BEATMAP PACKS SORTED IN 4x50 From 1-200

BEATMAP PACK 200-400 SORTED IN 4x50 from 201-400

Wow. What a long post. That's amazing; I'm not even interested in downloading all the maps at once, but this guide looks so in-depth. Kudos for making the longest (?) tutorial on our forums!

i'm glad to hear that people are liking it. Makes me feel as it wasn't a complete waste of time even tho there was something similar posted before.

Yes he did. same idea here but different program. Also it seems that nobody has updated his topic for a while now so the links for maps are a bit outdated.

But as i said before it isn't a bad thing to have more options isn't it ? if people prefer to use Jdownloader then i'm okay with that.

Can't you just like, download the torrents if you really need ALL of them?

Options man, options. Having an extra option is the point of the thread. Give the guy some credit, he must've dedicated quite some time for this tutorial.

are you sure? i did notice that the links where in a different format compared to yours. (The reason that i did a manual copy of all the links) but you should try it with Jdownloader and see if it works.

If it does feel free to use them in your own post
